I ordered the 4 volume paperback set a while ago, and am having a great time reading through it. You can usually find it on EBay for around $30 brand new... I recommend the seller "yi13476333."

I ordered a paperback set of "Journey to the West" from this seller after being pleased with the "Three Kingdoms" set he sold me! :)

Is it possible to buy the 5 volume set seperately?

You mean buy just one or two volumes at a time, instead of all at once?
If that is the case, the answer is that I have not seen a site with that offer.

Well the first time I ordered the book from B&N they didn't get the order. The second time I waited 2 months to get an abriged edition that I thought was un abriged. So I sent it back and now I ordered a version from a book store and have been waiting for a month now. In total I have been waiting for SGYY for over 6 months. You don't have it so hard. :)

Actually, James, it is possible to order separately the C.H. Brewitt-Taylor edition, but you have to keep in mind that the C.H. Brewitt-Taylor edition of SGYY uses Yale names such as Chuko Liang and Tsao Tsao instead of Zhuge Liang and Cao Cao.

Yep, I know. The Brewitt-Taylor translation was my first Romance of the Three Kingdoms. I still remember all the Wade-Giles names all too well. I didn’t know you could buy it in installments though, where would one go about doing that?
