These are really cool! They're not relevant to a thread about maps, but cool none the less!

Those province names on the map are in Wade Giles. I know you know this, but some people may not.

I cant really see the difference between the place names and the province names, though it's a useful map, and I cant see things like Jing Zhou, even in Wade Giles!

Oops. I thought this was the thread for pictures & illustrations. If not, I'd like to make a separate thread and post more if any one's interested.

This map is translated from the manhua "A Ravage of Time", taken from the backcopy of one of the volume which attempts to describe the historical context.

On this wiki source you can find a map of every chapter of RTK.

http://en.wikisource.org/wiki/Romance_o ... /Chapter_1
Please check out: Gongjin's Campaign Memorials: a Three Kingdoms Wiki.
Now with translations of: He Jin, Huangfu Song, Zhu Jun, Lu Zhi, Cheng Pu, Sima Shi, Lady Wang and many more.

Read Romance of the Three Kingdoms online (with corrected names)

Old Thread Resurrection Time!

Actually, I've been trying to find illustrations of what life was like during the Han/3K period. City life, country life, army life, Court life, whatever. I mean, historically accurate stuff, not just art from the Tang or Ming or something. Anyone know anything?

And failing that, I was also wondering if anyone had any photographs of sites where famous 3K events took place. Any material regarding the above would be appreciated.
I don't write fanfic, but if I did it would involve Zhou Yu and Zheng He fighting to win the heart of Lai Choi San. Then I'd make them join forces to fight Ming the Merciless, who secretly works for Master Li. I'd squeeze Lu Bu in there somehow.

I've got a book about ancient Chinese furntiture I bought as a source for story writing but haven't read it yet. I'm sure there most be some pictures of 3K era stuff in there if your interested?

Sounds interesting-I'd like to check it out myself. What's the title?
