You know... Since my concentration is Women's History and sexual practices on the side.

So I was going to put as my signature,

"Come here for women and sex!"

But I realized everyone would take that the wrong way.

Can you blame us? I think everyone would have that thought...

Well, if it makes you feel better the first thing I though of was "Holy crap when did GuoBia become a madame!?"

I'm just looking at TMB's location (?) and decided this was the most appropiate place to talk about it .

'I'm not as think as people drunk I am'.

My dad has a variation on that...

'I'm not as thunk as people dink I am'

Funny thing is, when he first changed to that location I read it the way a coherent person would say that sentence. Then I kinda paused and started to chuckle.

Probably the best location on the forum.

I love the passage from Mencius that WeiWenDi quoted in his signature:

孟子对曰:‘杀人以梃与刃,有以异乎?’
曰:‘无以异也。’
‘以刃与政,有以异乎?’
曰:‘无以异也。’
曰:‘庖有肥肉,厩有肥马,民有饥色,野有饿莩,此率兽而食人也。…如之何其使斯民饥而死也?’

And what's more awesome is that, when I picked up my James Legge translation of the Four Books to look up the English translation, I opened to a random page and it happened to be this passage (Mencius 1.4)!!!!!

"Mencius replied, 'Is there any difference between killing a man with a stick and with a sword?'

The king said: 'There is no difference.'

'Is there any difference between doing it with a sword and with the style of government?'

The king's reply was: 'There is no difference.'

Mencius said: 'In your kitchen there is fat meat; in your stables there are fat horses. But your people have the look of hunger, on the wilds there are those who have died of famine. This is leading on beasts to devour men[...] What shall be thought of him who causes his people to die of hunger?'"

 Glad you approve! When I was reading the Mencius that passage kind of caught my eye. Kind of shows one how forward-thinking and humanitarian the Confucians were, particularly given the violent time when they were spreading the word.

Dammit, Jim, I'm a student, not a Victorian!

Hehe, I should give the dude a break, though. His translations of the Analects and the Great Learning are invaluable, particularly with the footnotes.

But yeah, finding the passage that quick is pretty eerie. :D

This:

TooMuchBaijiu wrote:

is made of win. :D

But I'd personally translate it like this:

俺喜 欢 大 屁股,可不是谎言
你们其他兄弟勿否认
既然个微小腰的女生竟然进屋
有个你脸前球形物
你中
就想韧地演
因你睬到屁股后塞满
在她穿着的裤太窅呀,
俺被钩盯地停不了呀

...

And I could go on... but Google Translate's not great for this version, which seems like a problem. :P

I can't speak a word of Chinese (Well, I know 'ni hao') and I still lol'ed at the first line. You got the pauses down and everything!

Just out of curiosity, though, what are the differences between our versions?
I don't write fanfic, but if I did it would involve Zhou Yu and Zheng He fighting to win the heart of Lai Choi San. Then I'd make them join forces to fight Ming the Merciless, who secretly works for Master Li. I'd squeeze Lu Bu in there somehow.
