I got hooked on rotk1 way back in 89 when it came out....and i was given the game by a friend who didnt like it. since then i have played/owned rotk 1-4, 6-8, dw 1-3, dt 1.

I've also read 2 translations of the book, and one abridged copy. own 2 comentaries on 'the art of war' by cao cao and zhuge liang. own, and read, the 7 military classics of ancient china and many other early eastern philosophocal and religious works.

Im not really into the game or the book anymore. much more interested in military theory, both western and eastern. Still, when i happened upon this web site i spent a good hour reading posts and articles here....and i find myself coming back again and again. good work 8D.

Playing Nobunaga's Ambition made me search for more Koei titles. Then playing Romance of the Three Kingdoms made me search for that era of history to find out what really happened.

Reading the biographies of officers because I was bored, and coming accross something about a Novel based on that era, searched for it on the internet, read the book and here I am today.

I never personally liked those SNES strategy games, the thing that got me interested was the DYNASTY warriors hack and slash games!

Dynasty warriors 2 to start then tactics, i got them so close together that they both brought me into it.
It is important to draw wisdom from many different places. If we take it from only one place, it becomes rigid and stale. Understanding others - other people, other beliefs, and other nations - will help you become whole.
