San11 Editor "Translation"

My translation
Put in the install folder and run - no need to delete the old exe:
http://ulozto.net/xRuGZoXT/san11editor-eng-exe

San11 Editor 1.06 Build1211
Download "San11 Editor 1.06 Build1211.rar" from http://pigspy.ys168.com/

What it does?
San11 Editor is a program that allows you to easily do everything we normally do with an hex editor (and the editing guide) and a bit more. You can edit the contents of Scenario.s11, Scen0XX, Msgs, among other things like simple cheats done by editing RAM while game is running (showing all shrines for example). It's an interesting program, the problem is its language (chinese).

It's worth noting that it supports chinese version of the game fully, japanese version (except by few features I think), but not english version (although it does work in many cases — LCC used it with Scen0XX).

It seems you have translated it already, or at least most of the menus are translated.
Then why don't you just share it here?!
So that other people can finish the translation

Yeah, I've end up translating some core stuff already, but there's plenty more to go.

Look, I'm 99% sure that if other people want to finish it, they'll need my assistance and I'm not taking my time to type a bunch of stuff or upload anything with my horrible connection if nobody commits to do anything.

Can you explain what exactly is remaining?

I'm 99% sure that if other people want to finish it, they'll need my assistance

Obviously receiving assistance is so nice, but you underestimate other people!

type a bunch of stuff

Wow is it that much complicated?
I think by using a simple hex editor it is possible to translate the menus to English, maybe there are other ways too.

upload anything with my horrible connection

Come on, the original pack (San11Editor1.06Build1211.rar) is only 408KB, is it too much?!

if nobody commits to do anything

Late joiners can't commit now, but they will use the tool and appreciate your work

I don't have a record you know. Basically other menus not in the pictures (more than it seems at a first glance).

Obviously receiving assistance is so nice, but you underestimate other people!

I doubt ... post a picture with one word translated

Have you ever taught someone to use an hex editor? You overestimate people

Yes ><> (you overestimate my connection too  )

Sorry if I'm not enthusiastic, problem is I don't get along well with earlier joiners.

No problem I will do it in a jiffy! 8-)
But it is late here (2 AM), I will do it tomorrow.
If you give me the English text for the menus, I will be able to translate more than just one word.

But that's why I've stopped. I don't know chinese and figuring things out is very dull (not to say it's a headache figuring out the best way to deal with the awful character limits).

Hopefully more people will join this small project. I'd like to point that there's no need to be tech savvy to help. The goal isn't to translate everything and you're not starting from zero.

It was too easy! :D

So our Chinese friend thinks that he can really protect his tool from people?!

Thanks to Nacho_dj, San11Editor is unpacked :

Thanks to Angus Johnson, his tool makes the life so easy :

Google translate is better than nothing :

There is no limit for text length :

Even I can translate the menus to Persian (Farsi)! Ho hO

I hope Van won't be annoyed when he see my name as a Translator next to his name!

See, it was a piece of cake!
So please share your work here, and make the life easy for people.

Hmmm ... I've tried XNResourceEditor and had issues. Thanks for pointing ResourceHacker it seems better :D

But I don't know why you want me to share my "translation" so much. As I said previously, it only covers few stuff and should be redone anyway (with full words now).

I'd be willing to "retranslate" what I did so far and upload here, but still, I don't play the game anymore and don't intend to complete the translation. There is still plenty of dull work to be done (and by other people), so I ask, will you carry it on?

The questions is why don't you want to share it so much?!

The incomplete translation can be used until the complete one is out.

so I ask, will you carry it on?

If I want to translate the tool, I will translate it to my native language (Persian or Farsi)
