I hope Koei let us fans re-code their game, and don't try to encrypt their data codes. Without cutomization, I think it's a very long and quite boring game. Customized game make it fresh again.

Can you modify the stats of pre existing officers like Lu Su or Lu Xun with the hex editor, and if you can how do you do it?

The pre existing officers data is in the scenario file. For example 'The Three Visits' scenario in the 'Koei\RTKXI\Media\scenario\SCEN004.S11' file. Open the file with an hex-editor. Search for 'Lu' text. Click on 'Find Next' until you find the 'Xun' text. The officers stats is placed after the officers name 'Lu Xun', in hexa-decimal value. 60 = 96 (Lead), 45 = 69 (War), 5F = 95 (Int), 57 = 87 (Pol), 5A = 90 (Cha). Edit the data with a new value .

C=00

Use the post above to figure out how to locate officer stats. The APT are the 6 cells before stats, they are in the same order as the game lists them; spear,pike,arrow,cav,weapon,navy. To change officer skill change to 7th cell after the last stat to the number above that matches the skill you want the officer to have. Enjoy and thanks again.

Also, has anyone figured out what cell the officers location or wheather they are a free officer or hidden officer is?

The officer status is the 7th cells before first APT. I think 00=Souvereign; 01=Strategist; 03=Officer; 06=Timed available; 07=Available to search now; 08=Don't exist/died. (Lu Xun=03 Officers)

The first 2 cell (17 00) is the city where Lu Xun lived.
The second 2 cell (17 00) is the city where Lu Xun assigned now.
May be you can completed the city name list.

'05' before the city cell is the distric code.

Allow me to revive the debate - is it possible that the English PC version has different memory adresses for the models? I have so far been unable to reconstruct any of the things stated above other than the first few named characters' models (i.e. Zhuge Liang and such). Any help would be appreciated!

No the memory addresses are the same, its just that the actual entries are in hexadecimal.

Just use Louhawk's above cheat sheet, the list under Number Equivalents.

On the left are the model numbers from the pics, and on the right are the corresponding hex numbers.

Example: Zhu Rong's model number is 34 so you have to use 22.

I'm not sure if there is already a thread on this forum for this, but here is a comprehensive guide to editing RTK 11 with a hex editor.

Sorry if this link already exsists. The guide was created by Zetta.
