Right but my point wasn't about the challenge for players, but rather that, through playing these particular forces, you realize the uphill battle they face, which in turn gives insight into the AI's poor performance despite being more aggressive.

So your officer slot moves worked to fix the ruler AIs, but those particular forces will still not dominate without better officers. And on the other hand, you can give the normal ruler AI for those forces 50 awesome officers and yet they will fail miserably.

It's just an observation.

zy,

You are right.

There was once i moved Liu Biao to Historical 01 slot, he became aggressive, keep expanding & occupying southern vacant cities.

Funny, even with good officers for them, they still could not fight as well as Cao Cao forces

I re-started Imperial Rescue, using Zhou Yu as ruler, replaced Wang Lang to Zhou Yu

Now no more alliance, very fun

i changed Zhou Yu stats from

97, 71, 96, 86, 93 to 97, 78, 96, 89, 96

all APT remain as per default

Other 3 custom created officers sworn siblings with Zhou Yu

Other sworn siblings removed

Improved Wen Chou, Yan Liang, Zhang He & Xiahou Dun stats

Wen Chou & Ya Liang got the most improvement in their stats........Both these officers able to withstand much longer in battles

i share something i discovered.

Scenario: Imperial Rescue with no alliance

I swapped ruler, Cao Cao with Yuan Shao.

Yuan Shao while controlling the central plains, he is just as aggressive as Cao Cao.

Cao Cao while controlling He Bei, behaves just like Yuan Shao.........

So, i realised maybe the game mechanics are programmed in such a way, rulers at Central Plains will march to attack more often ?

Hmmm...maybe

Isn't that just because there are more avenues for attack from the Central Plains? There are only two cities to attack from in Hebei, while there are three cities on the south shore (Chenliu, Puyang, Beihai).

Well Yuan's compatibility is right between Wu and Shu so yeah he has a pretty good pool of officers available.

i completed the game yesterday....

Emperor Xian requested Yuan Shao to take over his place, Yuan Shao agree

Then Yuan Shao name his country as Han.

The game ending with Han story, is quite different from the normal & yellow turban ending :)

1st time i saw this Han's ending story
