Dang, looking for some help please :(.

Been trying to get the English translation to work, but just keep getting an error message (game wont start with the changes - error message asks me to log in with administrator privileges and try again). The game I had, I got from Gamersgate - and it wasn't a "with PUK" game - so I thought maybe that was the issue. So, I went to Steam and purchased one with the PUK ( https://store.steampowered.com/app/6280 ... __11_with/ ).

I wasn't sure if I should use the Jap-Eng or Chi-Eng translation, so I tried both. Both give me an error message.

I thought I followed the directions right, but obviously not. Any help would be appreciated :).

The patch was made for the CD release, so it might not work with the steam version.

Ah, that's disappointing :(. Thank you for the help though. Next stop, getting a steam refund :) lol.

Yeah, the patch includes an exe file, which could have been changed for the Steam release.

Whenever I make custom character-forces, they barely bother recruiting armies. Often just staying at 10-15k soldiers per fortress. Why is this?

It feels like only a couple of rulers (Cao Cao, Yuan Shao, Sun Quan etc) bother making huge armies.

Yeah that's because it seems like only a few major figures were given a competent AI. The vast majority of the officers just have a generic and mostly useless AI that does veey little, and that includes the custom officers you create. If you tinker with the hex and put your custom ruler on Cao Cao's officer slot then the ruler will basically perform much better.

I share something.

Still playing Yuan Shu.


There's once Liu Biao merged force with Cao Cao. Lucky I save it.


Quite the game, hex edit Cao Cao TP value to zero.


Restart & load game, end turn, Liu Biao no longer merge force with Cao Cao.


Save the game, hex edit back Cao Cao original TP value, continue play.



Learnt something new :?

Its a good game, just finished Heroes Flurry PUK scenario as Liu Bei.

Shame that the AI is that bad and has been programmed to rely on cheating, which brings me to a question - are some officers in some scenarios not meant to be played on Hard difficulty using PUK - say Cao Zhi in Heroes Flurry (everything set fictional)? You just can't deal with multiple forces that have double the amount of soldiers you have or are there any hidden tricks that I am not aware of?
