The easiest way I've found to type traditional Chinese using WinXP is to do the following:

1. bring up the language bar settings
2. choose to Add  Chinese (Taiwan) with IME - Mircrosoft New Phonetics and press Yes.
3. if you do not know the Taiwanese phonetics system (which I don't), select Microsoft New Phonetics from the list of IMEs, and click on the properties button and choose the Pingyin option.
:D

Oh, and please don't call me 大侠, I always feel that word has been degraded into something derogatory...

Also, you can click on the Tools button in the language bar and choose IME Pad, which you can use to "write" out Chinese with your mouse, pretty neat. :D

Hmm... Ican't seem to get the Pinyin system to come out under Chinese (Taiwan) (I know the Taiwanese phonetics system well enough but I don't know how it maps onto the keyboard... :?

And I found the IME pad! 真好玩!謝謝! :)

One can make some leeway in jokes, and lame jokes at that.

In the middle of the list of input methods there's one called "hanyu pingyin", choose that instead of the taiwanese pingyin at the bottom.
