Excellent book both of them and the latter one is something I would recommend everyone else too...
Next on my list: 36 stratagems of war

I have 36 stratagems translated in polish. Good, but try also this thing:

Ralph Sawyer and Thomas Cleary are pro's of the subject.

The Witcher books

These are the greatest western fantasy books ever like oh my god. The universe that is created here feels so down to earth and believable, despite being so fantastic. The action, romance, lust, other fancy words I don't' want to think of are all here and in great standing.

Ooh!! Good!! Thanks a lot!! I always appreciate a good book recommendation.. I'll read that too after I finish my current material.. Just out of curiosity, wanted to ask... have you heard of military treatise called as "Wojijing" >>> 握奇經
It's a book on troop formations and the famous 'Eight Array Battle Formation' seemed to be either borrowed from that book or a derivative of one of the strategies of the book.. Unfortunately I've been unable to find it anywhere   , And I'd really like to read that book...

...I'ts only matter of proper preparation. Sometimes things exist with different names. If it exists in net, I will find it.
I've heard about the book, but I didn't expected that there is a printed version. So far I don't think to find it in other language than Chineese. Unfortunatelly I study only japanese, so I will wait 'till someone will translate it. If I cannot find smth.like. book ot treatise I always have options to read or study anything else.
p.s.

...I know it's not covering all the texts, but it's worth to look in.
p.s.2.
mostly 'bout the strategy treatises and books I see Ralph Sawyer name on the titles. I think that finding all his books should fulfill your expectations according to the "握奇經 The Classic of Controlling by the Unexpected"

Thanks :) :) ... My interest in the 36 stratagems is more of a curiosity than anything else... So is the Wojijing... I wanted to know about Feng Hou's formation and everything I have read in The Ravages of Times... Considering modern warfare it's pretty outdated but it's still nice to know all that... (in case I'm transported 2000 years back or something :pika: :pika: )

Just finished Binu and the Great Wall of China by Su Tong. As I understand it it's a traditional folklore story and this is one version of it that has happened to be translated. It was really interesting, worth a read!

Just starting reading Robin Hobb. When I first saw her name as a tweenager I'd thought that the books were about a parody character based on Robin Hood. Whilst I learned that first impression was wrong many years ago it put me off reading her. Boy do I regret it now, some of the best written fantasy I've ever encountered right alongside GRRM and Branden Sanderson!

Hobb is good from what I've read so far, but trying not to spend too much money so she will have to wait in meantime!!
If becoming enlightened or an intellectual means I must become arrogant and coldly cynical about the world around me then I'd gladly remain a fool for the rest of my life!!
