To better serve the members of the forum, we have expanded ForeignKingdoms and updated the rules. Here they are, revised.

Description: This forum is for webmasters (or members) to post threads for websites that are in any way related to The Scholars of Shen Zhou. That means RTK history, Chinese history, world history, Chinese art, Three Kingdoms (games and novel) art (e.g. wallpaper, images, fan art), and more. You may post non-English sites, but please put the language in the title (e.g. Chinese – San Guo Zhi Online).

Non-RTK related sites may also be posted here, but in the respective threads. (See below). Do not create a new thread for a non-RTK website unless you have been given prior permission by the moderators of the forum or an administrator.

This forum is also for the use of all members to discuss computers and technology. There is a virus help thread, PC help thread, technology news thread, and much more coming as well as we expand the forum.

Rules for this specific forum:

For Websites/Internet related discussions:
 Do not use terms like “the best”, or degrading commentary about other sites. Do not post sites based off charging people for a service that is otherwise available for free. Sites that plagiarize will not be tolerated.

 Do feel free to post major updates and new unique content found on a site in a thread. Do not post all updates though, only things that are interesting.

 Do feel free to post an interest in helpers for your site. If you need a moderator for your forum don’t worry about asking.

 Webmasters, please feel free to post requests for feedback on your site’s presentation and development. Go ahead and ask HTML questions about problems you are having too, some of us can probably help you if we have time. Be prepared for honest feedback, I will give it to you, and hopefully so will our members.

 Scholars of Shen Zhou, please do offer your opinions of web sites that are posted. Be critical. If you think a web site is poor, do feel free to say so, but give good reasons. If you think a web site is wonderful, please let everyone know. Webmasters that post sites here, understand that your site may face this level of critique.

 Post personal web sites that are not related in any way to this forum in the personal sites thread.

 All RPG's relevent in some way should be posted in the Interenet RPG's Thread.

 Any message board or forums that you create that are not Three Kingdoms related, must be placed in the Message Boards and Forums Thread.

 Partner Sites threads will be made sticky. (This is the discretion of James only, who runs KMA ( If you want to be a partner, contact him.)

For Computers/Technology:

 When providing advice and help, be careful to make sure that the person understands any risks they may be taking. Also be sure that what you're suggesting is not going to harm their system in any way (unless you provide that disclaimer).

 Promotion of or Aiding the Distribution of Illegal Software
Any program that costs money aside from Shareware cannot be legally distributed. The only legal way to acquire these pieces of software is through the retail means the developer intended (e.g. buying them at the local computer store).

For this reason members may not post requests for illegal software, offer illegal software, or teach other members how to get illegal software in the open forums. This rule is not up for debate. Offenders will receive a reminder of the rules. Second time offenders will be banned, no questions asked. Please do not hesitate to contact me or another admin if you have any questions. This includes MP3s, EMUs, Gameshark cheats, etc.

:!: Foriegn Kingdoms Transition :!:

For the next few days, Foriegn Kingdoms will be transforming from its old self -- designed only for website assistance -- to a new forum designed for website AND computer assistance and related discussion.

As a forewarning, during this time, a great deal of threads will be pruned out entirely, as we reorganize the forum. This may mean that information you were relying on, or posts you have made about your own website, may be pruned in the transition. This is nothing against you personally; this is to provide a clean format for the forum, as we cannot merge threads and many current threads are outdated.

On the bright side, you can look forward to a cleaner, broader, and more focused forum with a helpful moderation staff. You can kiss goodbye to dead links, and say hello to helpful FAQs, more resources, and other goodies. Please help make this transition a beautiful one!

Don't Fear the Pruning!

Today and the next few days yet, you will continue to see a lot of pruning and restarts of new threads. Don't be afraid -- we're just cleaning up and reorganizing the forum, which unfortunately, pretty much means restarting it entirely.

A note about your personal websites/message boards: they will be added to the proper link section only under the following conditions:

1) The link works; and
2) The site has been updated within the past few months.

If your site doesn't get put in a link thread by the time we're done 'rebooting' the forum, it was because of one of these two conditions. If you have updated it recently (not 'plan on doing so', because I've been a webmaster a few times before, and those plans often fail unless you're truly dedicated), just post again once everything's settled and I'll add it to the list.

Yes, I'm speaking ahead of myself, because I'm taking this forum rebuilding a chunk at a time, not all at once (it's more tedious than it first looks).

On another note, I'm pleased to announce that Stuart shall be added as moderator to this forum. He's very helpful and skilled in this area, and has plenty of ideas and energy to make the forum work.

Psst. If you have any questions, ask them here. I've left the thread unlocked for that purpose.

Oi. And now Ms. Forgetful has finally actually MADE Stuart a moderator, and not just talked about it.

Progress is slow right now, not feeling in the best of spirits or the best of health, so patience is appreciated. ;)
