Ok if i remember correctly to set VM you should take the amount of RAM you have and subtract it from 512, so 512 - 96 = 416. So windows should not get anymore than 416 MB of disk space. To change this you should do the following:
Right click on My Computer and select Properties. Click the Performance Tab, and then click Virtual Memory. Choose 'Let me specify my own virtual memory settings'. Enter in 416 for both values. Click apply or OK. It will ask you to reboot clickyes. That's it! You should now see better performace. I would also run a scan disk and defrag on your machine. It probably needs it
