Linux Knoppix

Hi everybody!
I need a little help: I have to do an exam, at the univiersity, and I am forced to learn using Linux. Since my first "experiment" (with linux installation) has destroyed my poor pc  , I'd like to know if anyone knows about a linux version called Knoppix, wich is a live cd so it doesn't need any istallation. I've looked for it on the web, but I wasn't able to find a good download. The same searching on file sharing programs.
Can you help me?

Knoppix is a handy tool for technician work, but I’m not sure how valuable it would be to me on a day-to-day basis of in-home PC work or play…
