This site is kind of getting old and unpopular as KOEI declines. Really, no software would help boost the popularity. May I ask why do you care and why you post in Russian?

It's not losing popularity... The Gamer sections maybe, but I for one didn't join because of KOEI.
I doubt that there is any promotional software. I joined because I was doing a project on Three Kingdoms, and the site seemed interesting.

The site is getting quiet, and it has seen more glorious days. But did Cao Cao give up after Chi Bi?

I'm curious as to what the original post said. :?

As far as this place being less than what it was, I guess that's not something I would notice anyway, being still fairly new to it. But I like how people seem to get along better on here than on on other forums. That's why it's the only forum I use.
It can be hard to have common interests in groups though. I like the thread "what are you currently listening to?". But anytime I try to start conversation there, I get no response. I guess others just aren't as into music as I am. I doubt very many people ever actually follow the links others give on that thread.
And I think I would like better to stay off of political or religious debate threads. I've never seen somebody change somebody else's mind on one of those threads.

To understand one another, there must be a state of choiceless awareness where there is no sense of comparison or condemnation, no waiting on further development of discussion in order to agree or disagree. Above all, don't start from a conclusion." - Bruce Lee

Anything 'old and unpopular' about the site probably relates to a dwindling English Three Kingdoms community. It has shrunk in its entirety over the last five years and much of the decline we have seen in recent history is due to a reduced interest in Dynasty Warriors. It might be appropriate to say, technically, that Dynasty Warriors giveth and Dynasty Warriors taketh away, as it was responsible for a boom in traffic which gradually dwindled. And part of the reason why we're not seeing as much of the new Dynasty Warriors related traffic is because I don't cover Koei content on Kongming's Archives like I used to, which simply boils down to a time issue along with the fact that Dynasty Warriors isn't as fun to play single player.

Anyway, back to the Three Kingdoms community. When this website was started there were three large English Three Kingdoms communities (that I knew of) and their activity was independent of Dynasty Warriors. Many of those members vanished over the years and this is pretty much the last of that sort left. There are some, like Koei Warriors, which focus more on the games, and I know of one which focuses on Chinese history and pretty much never discusses the games. I'm not completely sure why everything evolved this way.

In any case, this forum certainly isn't going anywhere. :)

Roughly:

"Good day!
I see a good attendancehttp://the-scholars.com,/ tell me, pliz any software to promote the site and attract traffic?
I would appreciate your advice!"

What a nice bot. At least he isn't trying to sell us prostitutes or child porn like some of the others I've seen.

Yeah, you're probably right. We had a "30 Days of Music" thread that was kind of what you want to see. You know, maybe you could do something I've considered doing myself and create a "Day 31" and so on.

And I think I would like better to stay off of political or religious debate threads. I've never seen somebody change somebody else's mind on one of those threads.

Politics is war without bloodshed, as Mao put it. I think we talk politics here because we're too lazy to start picking random fistfights on the street.

The plan was probably to come back with a follow-up reply recommending some software to help.

Yeah, I wouldn't expect to see a large amount of revelation during those debates. People generally don't like to change their mind about deeply seated beliefs, and when we do realize we're wrong about an argument we've hedged on, we tend not to admit we were wrong about everything in the discussion. I've definitely seen people change their minds about things over time, though. I know I have and I know discussions here have played a role in that. :)

If anything, I consider those discussions to be a fantastic source of information. It is one of the finest ways I've encountered to receive exposure to a wide range of perspectives on a given topic.

Well, now that the bot's been removed, I doubt that's happening.
