The DW games are rather tame compared to that, there's barely even a drop of blood spilled in their games.

The person was so conservative as to complain about how DW's central theme is only violence, whether or not other games are worse. He was concerned that his child would become blood-thirsty (so to say), simply because the game would allow him to be actively engaged in acts of violence. He would not let his child even get near GTA; he would not let his son play M-rated games at all.

Pointing out how other games are more realistic and sinful does not take away from the central theme of violence in DW, which was what the father was addressing.

Then he's not going to approve of any games then except puzzle ones that dont involve killing or eating something to gain an advantage, even Pac Man you devour baddies in a sense.

Anyway this sort of discussion is now leaning more towards the violence in games threads I think still exist over in Gamers Haven, I was more trying to get a feel for the age of DW gamers out there rather than the effect such games have on the youth of today.

Like these two below, feel free to refresh those threads if you like. :)

Then I apologize for being off topic.

I love the DW and I'm aged 20, though I did start playing DW when I was 16-17. Still get enjoyment out of new installments even if reviews bash them about always being the same. I'm sure fans notice differences.

I agree with what you're saying Davey!!

Anyways, I'm 18 and I started playing when I was 15, around the summer of 2003!

When I started to play I started at the age of 17. Now I'm 19 and still going strong with it.

I'm currently 23 years of age - started playing DW3 3 years ago, so I did come to discover the world a bit late. It all started when I got sick and my brother brought me his PS2 with a few games. For whatever reason I gravitated towards this one, and the rest is history.
