What's with this "fire an arrow at Lu Bu while he's running at you" fetish??

Though I find the bow attack view quite hilarious. Especially when they're running at you and look WAY big, and you're just wondering if they're gonna get you before you shoot them.

Getting down archers in towers, or a group of soldiers that are waiting for me. Actually, I use my bow on archers whenever I can. I try not to get too close, because while I'm running in for close range attacks, they hit me a couple of times at least.

I've used it on an officer that was running away.

I use it for the occasional Nanman that I can't get off by jumping at, and I kill the people behind the gate that won't come out to play

Get people off elephants, or if I'm at really low life and their hyper mode. :?

You can use your bow when you're not Xiahou Yuan or Huang Zhong? Did they take it out in DW5?
You will not like me.

Because! That's the only way to hit him before he hits you with that crazy long (compensating?) spear of his. ;) But mostly, yeah. Just cause it looks funny. ^^

With the poll, whats the difference between Yes and Sometimes? I'm guessing yes would be constantly or much of the time during every stage? In that case, its sometimes for me. I only use it when sniping units off their mounts or when an annoying archer is bothering me.

I'm also guilty of the Lu Bu arrow fetish. It was just a easy way of killing him or wittling his health down in the older titles.

oh and when officers and generals are running away from me

I use my bow for those too, and also when I'm feeling too lazy to run up to an approaching peon.
Despite the fact that I mostly use male avatars, I'm actually female.

In Dynasty Warriors 3 I used it a fair bit, but then again, that was back when the game could be challanging without being ridiculous. One time on Yi Ling, I was playing as Liu Bei, and I ended up having to snipe Sun Quan to death from one of the nearby boats.

(Off topic, i'm not sure about how it is on DW 4 & 5, but on 3, you could manipulate the way the AI would head after the enemy leader to have alot of fun in multiplayer. Holding off the whole of the Shu army on Wu Zhang Plains as Guan Yu on the steps in the top right corner of the map while two player hid in a corner up there was huge fun  )
