Gotta say its refreshing to hear people criticise the JP voice acting. All too often people(usually Anime fans) heap praise on the JP voice acting and deride the English/NA acting. Sometimes I find the Japanese too...ecstatic, like in WO3 Ma Chao sounds like a lunatic.

Thing is I find it amusing some people find the Japanese voice actors more traditional, wouldn't Chinese voice actors be more appropriate? ^^

I was happy enough with the grunts and groans of DW2 back then we didn't need tons of dialogue to have an enjoyable beat them up game. :)

I loved the Chinese dub in ROTKXI, made it feel alot more genuine.

It would be cool if they included a Chinese Voice Option in DWE7, but I don't thats gonna happen anytime soon!

I really hope they add English Dubs for DW7E though, aside from the annoying voices, I find it really annoying that I have to read those pop-messages in the heat of battle, most of the time I miss entire in battle conversations because I'm too busy ytrying to keep my health above 45% and can't be bothered to read the messages. Speaking of conversations I hope that the guys who are writing the dialogue and conversations for DW7E aren't the same guys from WO3. The conversations from WO3 ranged from super cheesy to non-sensical.

I had limited hopes for DW7 to be honest and only recently got around to playing it, expecting that I would initially enjoy it then get bored as it offered same old stuff. Credit to koei as think they have done quite a revamp including little details (Dun without an eyepatch, alternative costumes when likes of Zhang Liao and Guan Yu serve outside their main kingdom, the conservations in the camps) but also how to stop the boredom of doing He Fei 60 million times.

Only played the Wei faction so far and while I have some quibbles like choice of characters for certain levels or some of the voice work but enjoyed the story, not MGS or Valkyria Chronicles but had some neat idea's, and not yet got bored of the gameplay. Certainly appreciate that doing 4 stories and a conquest mode was a gamble but one that I think has helped the game so will credit koei for what they have attempted.

Be interesting to see how they keep it fresh in 8 though

Finished the Shu story. It's the worst of the three for quite some time, few moments of humanity and lots of talk of benevolence under Liu Bei, who is both a moron and nothing more then a virtue spouter. He doesn't feel human and the group don't pull me into their goal. Near the end, it picks itself up quite well, carrying a bit of punch when need be and it's group feel like a group. They feel like humans striving for something though benevolence is still a tad overused.

i honestly couldn't decide if Shu or Jin were the overall weakest, but out of the original 3 its shu hands down.

i tell you i was more interested in the "Hey you remember me?" guy's life story in Shu's mode
Ding Feng/Sun Shang Xiang is my new one true crack pairing XD (thank you ROT3KXI)

That could have been executed a bit better but yeah, I liked the soldier storyline and thought it was a neat idea.

I like the angle they have on Jiang Wei though in Jin's storyline and in other cutscenes. They make him seem like a deluded idiot instead of a hero.
